THE SIGMA PI ADVANTAGE >>
What makes Sigma Pi unique? What does Sigma Pi offer its members by joining the fraternity? We invite you to take a
look...
- No Annual Membership Dues! Sigma Pi is one of only six National fraternities in North America that does not have annual membership dues. Sigma Pi chapters have their own local dues and budget, which they set per man in the chapter. You pay your local dues and that's it. Sigma Pi members get the most for their dollar and in turn have the best collegiate experience!
- The 4-year National cost of Sigma Pi is $500.00 vs. the national average of
$649.73(Source: North-American Interfraternity Conference). As an undergraduate member of Sigma Pi you will pay only two one-time fees to the Executive Office. This is standard for each fraternity and sorority, but at Sigma Pi, you get the best deal. There is a $150 pledge fee once recruitment has concluded and then a $350 initiation fee prior to the initiation ceremony into Sigma Pi.
- Membership materials are included in $425.00 cost. Sigma Pi does not make you pay extra for your membership materials. At the time of pledging you will receive your new member manual, your Study Guide for Academic Success, a one-year subscription the to the Emerald and your new member pin. Then at initiation, members receive a wallet ID card with their national number, a membership certificate, an initiation badge with national number and then a lifetime subscription the Emerald, the Fraternity's official magazine.
- No renewals for our magazine, the Emerald. At Sigma Pi you get a lifetime subscription to our magazine once you are initiated. You don't have to pay extra and renew your magazine subscription. Never worry about staying connected with your brothers or fellow alumni. Sigma Pi is brotherhood. Check out the Fraternity magazine.
- ACE Project. Sigma Pi is the only fraternity that has a national philanthropy/service event giving back to our host institutions. The ACE Project (Altruistic Campus Experience) is truly a unique program that no other fraternity or sorority throughout North America currently has. Every chapter and colony is encouraged to perform a project designed to give back to their host campus.
This is not a mandatory project, but the ACE Project is executed time and time
again reflecting the values of the fraternity and our dedication to our
campuses. This past year, there were 115 ACE Projects completed in the third year
of the project alone. At Sigma Pi, we take pride in our campuses. Learn more about our ACE Project.
- Study Guide for Academic Success. Academics are our main priority. Sigma Pi is the only fraternity that provides this to every registered new member for free. Provided by our Educational Foundation, this guide includes study techniques, test taking strategies and all of our scholarships available to undergraduates. Download the Study Guide for Academic Success today.
- Scholarships. The Sigma Pi Educational Foundation gives away leadership and academic scholarships every year. At Sigma Pi we offer scholarships to both new and initiated members and we want you to be successful in you academic endeavors. If you are interested in applying for a scholarship, learn more about the Sigma Pi Educational Foundation.
- Free Mid-Year Leadership Conference. Sigma Pi Fraternity is the only fraternity that offers a completely free conference to our Presidents, Vice Presidents, Treasurers, Recruitment Chairman, Chapter/Colony Directors, and regional Province Archones. In addition, Sigma Pi Fraternity offers them free hotel rooms, free materials, and free meals for attending. Officers never pay any registration fee and as a result our officers are becoming A New Generation of Leaders.
- Colony Development Consultants. Sigma Pi Fraternity is one of
seven fraternities in North America with the Colony Development Consultants. Each Colony Development Consultant is responsible for overseeing a group of colonies similar to a Chapter Consultant but works exclusively with colonies until they charter. Colony Development Consultants will visit each colony after colonization, starting with colony training and then visit at least two times per semester to monitor the colony's progress. As a result of this support, our colonies end up chartering within 8-14 months and are that much stronger as a new chapter.
